Great work life balance and perks

Working for the College’s ICT team not only gives you a great smart working environment, with flexible and hybrid roles available, but we have a great work life balance too:

Location, Location, Location

Many of our staff benefit from our South Kensington Campus being at the heart of an exciting cultural quarter on Exhibition Road, where we get discounts with neighbouring institutions, including the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the V&A Museum. A great way to stimulate the mind at lunch time.

We also keep our bodies stimulated at the Move Imperial gym, where staff can get free access with discounted rates on many classes and activities. Or if exercise classes are not your thing, you can take a leisurely walk in Hyde Park or do some shopping at High Street Kensington, just up the road.

Being a working parent

You can use The Early Years education centre which provides outstanding childcare and education services to children, aged between 6 months and 5 years. We believe that the right balance of nurture and inspiration will enable all those within our care to get the best start possible. You will get generous annual leave benefits, with 25 days of holiday leave a year, plus an additional 15 College closure days, which is great for aligning with school holidays.

If you are planning or growing your family we also offer all pregnant staff up to 52 weeks maternity leave regardless of length of service. This policy is inclusive, and it applies to pregnant staff irrespective of their gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, biological sex or if you are transitioning.

We also offer shared parental leave, Adoption leave and Surrogacy leave.

Everyone is supported at the College and we have some great networks open to all, including the Parents Network, the Babies and Bumps Network and the Carers’ Network.

We invest in you and your development – our dedicated ICT People Development Team provide coaching, training opportunities and support to compliment your own career ambitions.
